Video Archive Verifier Privacy Policy

Video Archive Verifier is a personal family-archive project, not a consulting-business service. This policy describes the workflow being prepared. The new Google connection is not active.

Data and purpose

With authorization, the Google connection reads Drive metadata: file and folder identifiers, names, sizes, available checksums, modification or version information, and account identity. The information is used to match archive files, compare verification evidence, confirm the connected account, and record progress and unresolved checks.

The only requested Google permission is https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.metadata.readonly. It covers account-wide metadata, not only selected folders. It does not permit downloading Google file contents or changing or deleting Drive files. Separate Microsoft OneDrive authorizations allow metadata reads and video-content streaming to calculate comparison hashes.

Processing and storage

Railway is the planned host for the verifier. The prepared workflow stores metadata, comparison results, reports, progress records, and authorization records. Authorization records include tokens, earlier credential versions, and saved token-renewal responses that may contain renewed credentials. Renewable access can permit later authorized checks without a sign-in for each check.

An OpenAI assistant and cloud environment are used to prepare the workflow. During separately authorized setup, that environment may process account information and credentials before transfer to Railway. OpenAI also processes information shared with the assistant, including any verification reports. Google and Microsoft process requests to their respective services.

Retention and removal

There is no automatic deletion schedule or self-service deletion control. Stored metadata, results, reports, progress, and authorization records remain until manual removal is separately authorized and carried out. Stopping a run, token expiry, or expiry of a setup handoff does not delete those files.

For questions or requests about removing app-held information, contact [email protected]. Provider logs and backups may follow separate retention practices. Removing active app files does not establish removal of provider-held copies.

Google access can be revoked through Google Account third-party connections. Revocation prevents further authorized access through that connection but does not erase information already stored by the app. Do not email passwords, tokens, or archive files.

Google Limited Use

Google-derived information will be used for the archive-verification features described here, including their authorization, progress tracking and recovery. As operator, I will not sell that information, use it for advertising, or authorize its use to train general-purpose AI models.

Video Archive Verifier's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

This website

This information website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The uploaded page files contain no scripts or forms. On archive.kstratmdconsulting.com, Cloudflare adds its Web Analytics script to measure website traffic and performance, configured to exclude visitor data in the EU. Cloudflare processes website requests, including visitor IP addresses and traffic information, as described in its Privacy Policy. This does not mean Cloudflare keeps no logs or uses no service-related cookies.
